Piermont by Jackson Clements Burrows Architects is a sanctuary of understated luxury hidden in Tasmania’s remote East Coast. Situated on a secluded north-facing site beside the existing suites, cottages, and amenities, the architectural vision is for the 32 properties to integrate seamlessly with the coastal sanctuary. Designed for a sophisticated yet effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle, the properties will feature bi-fold timber shutters that can be closed down for privacy, or expanded out to the invigorating sea air and views. Key elements include local stone, timber and native plants layered upon strong foundations of sustainability and craftsmanship. For the interior, Hecker Guthrie has crafted enriching atmospheres that fuse contemporary design and local artistry with the retreat’s timeless European elegance. Jackson Clements Burrows architects were the lead designers.
