Residence of Soldiers (2009) by Victor Vasilev located in Carrara, Italy. In Carrara, in a building of the 90s, the architect Victor Vasilev has created a modern and functional home for a family. The decisive lines of the architecture emphasized by light leaks, the prevailing choice of light colors and the particular selection of materials make the interior essential and contemporary but not cold. On the ground floor, the living room, dining area, and kitchen areas are developed in continuity following the existing differences in level. The light color of the travertine claddings, matched with the warm tone of the teak made to measure furnishings, contrasts with the black of the kitchen block marble. On the first floor, a large area of the sleeping area houses the master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a screened bathroom with a fifth in masonry. Long travertine, bench runs along the wall and supports the bathroom sink. In the basement, in addition to the audio/video area.
