Located in La Riviera Nayarit – Punta Mita, Mexico, Casa La Punta (2012) by Elías Rizo Arquitectos. , the order consists of a rest home for an unusual couple, the house must move away from regionalist design stereotypes – it must respond more, to the particular way of life and thought of its future dwellers Both are an active part of the design process of the house, she, with an inexhaustible talent, is directly involved with the theme of furniture and interior design, he gives shape to ideas with great technical creativity.
The project is structured in three modules: the entrance module contains the service areas as well as a double height workshop, the main module houses the public and private areas of the house, the third module is an open terrace and very close Sea. From the input module – a connector shaft of tropical solid wood planks that reaches the sea – it passes through the main module that floats on a volcanic stone bed and finally links each module with each other. In the main module, the ground floor is an open and unique space where the constant is the absolute integration to its immediate surroundings – the exterior -, there, only the kitchen as a space of coexistence and a small living space. The upper floor is divided into two parts, the master suite and the two visitor suites, which are accessed from the double stairway at triple height. Another constant is the open spaces for private and common use, one part of the master suite’s bathroom is outdoors. Polished concrete, Parota wood, stainless steel elements, natural stones and finally the careful selection of furniture make this beach residence a unique dwelling.
